‘WATERR’ project: Water Advisory Team for Efficient Resource Recovery.
I am Project Manager for the ERDF funded ‘WATERR’ Project to help irrigation businesses to improve their water availability and use efficiency. As well as supporting some 450 licenced irrigators within the South East region , the project also supports businesses within the supply side of the industry including irrigation equipment suppliers and water management advisors . The Project support programme consists of identifying current irrigation business performance and support needs through in depth interviews with at least 120 irrigators (Irrigation Business Reviews), and then providing workshops, demonstration visits and 1:1 specialist support aimed at disseminating Best Practice technologies and techniques. Led by EMR , the Project is also supported by the Environment Agency and Kent Council as Project Partners .
